How We Use Your Information
We use this information solely for the purpose of providing school photography services to schools. Specifically, we use the information to:
• Identify students for photography sessions
• Deliver photos to schools for use in school data systems
• Provide student IDs to schools
• Deliver photos to parents
• Communicate with parents about our services
We will not collect, maintain, use or share Student PII beyond that needed for authorized educational/school purposes, or as authorized by the parent/student. We do not use behaviorally targeted advertising.
We only collect personal data as part of our services provided under a contract with a school or school district. In this case, the terms of our agreement with the school or district govern the collection, use, and sharing of personal data, and override any individual consent that could otherwise be provided.
Data Security
All data we collect is stored on encrypted drives and encrypted cloud servers. Our internal systems and all programs used to provide services are encrypted and secured to protect against unauthorized access. Additionally, all communications containing personally identifiable information (PII), are sent through encrypted services to safeguard sensitive information.
Data Sharing
We do not sell or share any personal information with outside sources or third parties. The information we collect is strictly used for our internal operations related to providing photography services to schools and guardians.
Data Retention
We will retain personally identifiable information (PII), such as student names and associated photographs, for the duration of our contractual agreement with the school or district. This includes the period necessary to fulfill our photography services and any related obligations. After the contract concludes, we will securely dispose of or anonymize PII in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Service Limitations
We only provide services to customers for whom we have valid, authorized data. We do not provide services or share data with unauthorized parties.
Your Rights
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information that we hold. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns about your data.
Updates to Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Any updates will be posted on this page.
In the event of an acquisition of Schoolhouse Photos
We will require the acquiring company to act in accordance with the Student Privacy Pledge’s principals and allow users a choice to send information to the future entity or have their information deleted.
